Long Distance Hiking preparation Tuesday nights 6:00-8:00pm
Offered through Five Town Adult and Community Education
Preparing for a long distance hike? Do you want to hike the Appalachian trail, Pacific Crest trail, or the Continental Divide Trail? This is a hands-on class, presented by a woman who has hiked all three. We will be putting up tents, cooking, and playing with gear. We will have discussions on "leave no trace" ethics, guides, maps, hygiene, gear (stoves, packs, tents, tarps), gear weight, hiking partners, hiking a dog, clothing, helpful web sites, safety concerns and backcountry cooking.

Get Out of your Winter Cave! Saturday 9:30 to 12:30 am
Offered through Five Town Adult and Community Education
Hike, snowshoe or cross country ski. Get out of your winter cave and stay in shape. Get a dose of motivation. Come explore the beauty of the quiet season in the Camden Hills area. Physical fitness required. |

| Come explore the enchanting trails of Maine. Stop putting it off, get started this winter. The hikes will be easy to moderate in difficulty. The goal of this series is to get you started on an enjoyable exercise routine. The first night we will meet to discuss proper dress and things you should have in your pack. After that we will meet at different locations such as trailheads. |
